Why did you start breeding?
My journey began when I met Max, my husband’s duck hunting partner. Max was the best companion we ever had, and his legacy inspired me to begin breeding Labradors. What started as a passion has grown into a program recognized by AKC Breeder of H.E.A.R.T. and trusted by families across the country. I love the devotion and temperament of the labs over most other breeds and their devotion to family.What makes your program special?
Moonlight Kennels LLC raises Labrador Retrievers with health, devotion, and family at the heart of our program. Through OFA and genetic testing, balanced pedigrees, and hands‑on care, we ensure puppies grow into loyal companions, therapy partners, or hunting partners. Breeding is our calling, rooted in faith, giving each puppy the best start in life.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Puppy prices include a $550 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $2,450 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes health guarantee, AKC registration, vaccinations, deworming, and early socialization. Each puppy is raised with care, ensuring health, temperament, and smooth transition into family life. Deposits are non‑refundable but may be transferred to another puppy or litter within one year. Refunds are only issued if, by God’s providence, something happens to the puppy while in our care.”

Litter update on 12 Jan. •…Brook is confirmed pregnant and doing great! She’s not showing as large as Mercy, so we’re expecting a smaller litter of about 2 to 5 puppies this time. She has about 26 days left, and we’ll continue keeping everyone updated. Because we’re anticipating a smaller litter, we will not be taking any additional reservations for Brook’s litter until after the puppies arrive. Litter update on 12 Jan. •…Mercy is really starting to show now and her cuddly clingy side has definitely kicked in 🥰 She’s doing wonderful and staying close by our side. Based on how she’s looking, we’re expecting a nice solid litter of around 5 to 8 puppies, and we are officially in countdown mode with only about 22 days to go! We’re getting so excited to meet these babies! 🐾

Litter update on 06 Jan. •…🌙 Five‑Week Puppy Update Our sweet puppies are officially five weeks old, and this stage is one of our very favorites. They’re growing beautifully and hitting all the milestones we hope to see at this age. 🐾 Big Milestones This Week - They are fully eating hard kibble and thriving on their new routine. - They’re using their litter boxes almost full‑time, showing wonderful early potty habits. - They’re becoming confident little explorers — this week marks the start of daily outdoor playtime in the yard. - In just one more week, they’ll be ready for Mom to begin stepping away to finish the weaning process. Once she dries up, she’ll be able to rejoin them comfortably. 🌼 What’s Ahead This is when their personalities really begin to shine. Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll see more playfulness, curiosity, and confidence as they experience new sights, sounds, and textures each day. Litter update on 02 Jan. •…Vet's on Tuesday, January 27th. Let me know what days and times work for you. I like to keep them at least 24 hours after shots, just to make sure everyone's okay, so they can start leaving the 28th to 29th. Let me know what works for everyone. I have kids in school, so I'll have to work around pick up and drop off, but Friday and Saturday are free days.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
