Group Chats on Good Dog

Group chats on Good Dog connect you with your breeder and other families through shared spaces — a group for your puppy's litter, and a group for your breeder's whole community of families. It's a place to stay in the loop, ask questions, and celebrate milestones as you get ready to bring your pup home and beyond.

How group chats work
When you're matched with a puppy, you'll automatically be added to a shared litter group chat for that litter. This group includes your breeder and all of the other buyers who've been matched with puppies from the same litter, giving everyone a shared space to connect throughout the puppy placement process.

Once your placement is complete, you'll also be added to your breeder's program group chat — a lasting community that brings together all of your breeder's families across litters, past and future.

You can access your group chats from your phone or desktop, on the Good Dog app or on the web — just make sure you're logged in. You'll find your groups in the Messages section.

Sending messages, photos, and reactions
Group members can send messages, photos, and files, and react to messages with emojis. Your breeder will also use these groups as a space to keep you updated at meaningful moments as you get ready to bring your pup home and connect with the wider community.

Leaving a group
You can leave any group chat anytime if you'd prefer not to be part of the conversation. If you'd like to stay in the group but step back from the notifications, you can mute notifications for the group while still remaining in it.
