Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Feathers End Kennels located in Woodland Park, CO. I am a small, home-based breeder focused on providing high-quality puppies. I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Poodle and Chinese crested will continue to thrive for generations to come. This is where temperament, health, and beauty meet! We focus on service dog temperaments but all of our dogs either participate in sports or conformation. Contact us about Guardian home opportunities as well!

Q. & A. with Camirae

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first Border Collie when I was 17 and immediately noticed that her breeder did a very poor job. I want to better the breed, and I am devoted to ensuring there are happy and healthy Poodles and Chinese cresteds for others to enjoy by responsibly growing these incredible breeds.
  • What makes your program special?

I strive to put my passion for dogs to good use. I health test my breeding dogs and make sure they are free of all genetic issues. I make sure the parents are emotionally and behaviorally sound. All puppies are raised with "misty potty training", "early scent introduction", and the "Puppy Culture Program," At Feathers End , beauty is a given, but producing healthy, loving, and versatile dogs is my true goal!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Chinese Crested puppies include powderpuff and hairless coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Xoloitzcuintli puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
