Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Kaylatee Alaskan Malamutes located in Bolivar, OH. We strive to produce happy, healthy, sound dogs that will provide their families with many years of loving companionship. Malamutes are truly our passion! Always raised indoors in a family setting, socialized, dewormed, vaccinated & chipped. We offer a health guarantee and require a signed contract.

Q. & A. with Carla

  • Why did you start breeding?

After getting my first Malamute in 2000 and seeing the pictures of all of her gorgeous relatives, I decided I wanted to do my part in ensuring this breed will be around for centuries to come. Throughout college, I put hundreds of hours into researching genetics, pedigrees and the structure and function of true working dogs. I've been very fortunate to have multiple mentors in the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Health, temperament and soundness are top priority. We put 100% into planning and raising each litter and finding the very best matches for each puppy. Every relevant health screening for the breed is performed and puppies are guaranteed for genetic health. We will always be available for support throughout the life our pups and will always take them back at any age if the need should arise.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

What a wonderful experience from the very beginning, and what a supportive relationship up thru today. Kaylatee Alaskan Malamutes takes great pride in the work and love they put into their puppies. They were with me every step of the way. From setting clear expectations for both breeder and buyer, giving regular updates, and providing helpful information, it is evident they want the best for both you and the puppies. They, along with my new puppy Nova, were 100% worth the cross country trip.
