- 10 Minutes, on-leash for potty breaks outside
- if successful = off leash time outside or inside
- if not successful = pup goes back into expen or crate, with another potty break opportunity @ 15 minutes later
- Repeat, repeat, repeat
- “When in doubt, take them out!!”
- Pups do NOT want to eat where they potty; Feed meals inside crate, structured crate training session involve treats in crate
- Always clean “accidents” with Enzymatic cleaner
- ALWAYS suspect a UTI!
- Interruption, closing door, squirt bottle not working
- We always want to try least intrusive options first!
- Snappy Trainer
- Make sure sanding drum isn’t dull & needs changing
- Make sure all preliminary steps up to actually dremeling are ok
- Try different positioning to allow more control of dog’s mobility
- Don’t try to teach this until pup has had zero accidents in the house for at least 2 weeks
- Remember sphincter control doesn’t develop until @ 6 months
- Until then, its human responsibility to time and offer potty breaks
- Taglines (its ok if pup bites on it or carries it around)
- Tagline isn’t interchangeable with leash! (We use them differently & for different things)
- Timing and sequence of Tagline corrections

I have had 3 puppies in the past 4 years. The last pup I have is on the Puppy Training Program and has been by far the easiest to train while learning at a much faster rate than the other two. If i had known training could be so smooth I would have done this sooner.
