Dogs are an integral part of Abbey's life, from early childhood until today! Abbey's career working with dogs started when she graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then continued on to work full-time in animal welfare and sheltering at a prominent animal shelter in the Atlanta, GA area. This hands-on work with dogs of varying behavioral needs and backgrounds inspired her to return to her original path of pursuing dog training and behavior modification professionally.

After spending many hours shadowing and mentoring under different positive reinforcement based trainers in her area, Abbey then passed her examination to receive a CPDT-KA certification. Most recently, Abbey completed the requirements to become a Family Dog Mediator (FDM).

Alongside her work at Good Dog, Abbey also works under a positive reinforcement training business in Atlanta, GA where she helps clients with varying needs from puppy foundations, basic manners, all the way up to fearful and reactive dog behavior modification!
