How the process of becoming a recognized Good Breeder works

All breeders listed on Good Dog are vetted by our team in accordance with our community standards before their profile goes live. Here’s how it works.

Good Dog’s standards are focused on health and behavior and were developed with support from leading dog welfare and veterinary experts. All breeders listed on Good Dog are vetted by our team to ensure they meet these standards.

The first step in our process is to fill out a short questionnaire so we can learn more about you, your program, and your dogs. You will be taken directly to the questionnaire after signing up, but you can also always access it from the checklist on the “Overview” page in your Good Dog breeder dashboard (you’ll need to be logged in).

Your profile will not go live and you won't have access to all of our free, exclusive Good Dog breeder benefits until:

  1. You have completed the questionnaire
  2. Our team has reviewed your information
  3. Your account has been approved for recognition by Good Dog

We know every breeding program is unique and that your answers to questions may vary depending on a variety of factors, so please feel free to explain your responses and we may reach out if we have any follow-up questions. Otherwise, if you've submitted your questionnaire, we encourage you to complete your Good Dog profile so you’ll be ready to go live on our site if your program is approved for recognition and keep an eye out for an email from us!

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to us anytime at breederteam@gooddog.com or at 1-855-446-6336. We can’t wait to get to know you better!
