Meet the breeder

I'm Lance E., the breeder behind Agassiz Griffons Glendale AZ located in Glendale, AZ. Josie is a NAVHDA Prize 1 Natural Ability versatile hunter. We are not professional breeders, but our love of griffs and Josie in particular (this is our 2nd litter ever, 1st was 8 years ago), we decided to go for it. Spreading griff joy and love and getting a puppy of Josies is our goal.

Q. & A. with Lance

  • Why did you start breeding?

My next door neighbor in Flagstaff is a breeder and he helped me with the first litter and will help me with this one. Both of the Dams that I have bred are spectacular family and hunting dogs. Spreading Griff joy has been something I feel is a gift worth giving. Have room for them to roam and you will be forever a griff owner. Josie has been so fantastic of a dog that there was no choice!
  • What makes your program special?

Both dogs prized in Natural ability and both are AKC registered. We are not "breeders" per se, we bred Josie only because she has been such a joyful addition to the family that we felt it was an obligation to breed her.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are chestnut and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
