I'm Jim C., the breeder behind Agassiz Wirehaired Pointing Griffons located in Flagstaff, AZ. Our puppies are provided with the best start possible from meticulous choosing of mates to puppy/human/dog socialization, exposure to birds/water/forest fields, full suite of exams/micro-chipping and first vaccinations. This gives them the greatest chance at success, whether that be as a family pet, in the competition ring, as a hunting dog, or all of the above!

Why did you start breeding?
Early on, the examples of breed improvement and the pathways towards that improvement were revealed via my discovery of NAVHDA years ago... after getting my first "gundog".. It became a passion to give back and participate in working with good breeders to make more (and even better) dogs so that more folks could love the kind of dogs I had been gifted. So... I combined breeding for my own use with an occasional breeding that would accomplish making great dogs for my own use and sharing same with others.What makes your program special?
I don't think of my program as "special", but merely the way things should be done... breeding decisions guided solely by studying performance and health records that go back many generations.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are chestnut and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Jim has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Jim partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“I do not assign pups but do give informed recommendations with eye to order of deposit/desired sex. Folks who do not have a chance for getting the sex of choice when specified can have their deposit back. And I encourage potential buyers to choose _the litter_, before worrying about choosing a pup.”

About Val
Whelped from NAVHDA Breeder Award stock, Valkyrie (Val) is an active and affectionate girl whose two favorite things are hunting and being next to her people. She earned her Natural Ability Prize I score at an early age and is currently in training for next level "Gun Dog" testing to be followed by "Utility". Structure and coat and temperament are everything I look for in a family dog that has strong hunting drive combining with a desire to please.

About Dani
Dani's line comes directly from France. She has excellent hunting lineage, but her friendly, family-oriented nature really makes her a beloved member of our family and a standout mom to this fun litter! Dani has a ton of prey drive (prize 1 NAVHDA Natural Ability) and loves her family of Griffs and humans!

The entire experience was wonderful! We live in Mesa, so we were able to see the puppies when they were three weeks old and again when they were six weeks old. We got her at 8 weeks and 4 days old. Jim was great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our puppy.
