I'm Tanya & Cass S., the breeder behind Alfheim-Andromeda Chihuahua's (A &A's) located in Lee Center, NY. We believe in breeding for health first and foremost. We strive to use the information provided to us by having our adults O.F.A. and Embark DNA tested prior to breeding. We are also members of the Bred with  H.E.A.R.T. program by AKC. We provide lifelong support and return of any dog we breed.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Tanya was raised in a breeding/show home. Finishing her first dog as a child. Cass was raised in a home with lots of animals and found interest in showing and breeding at a young at. Combined 45 years of breeding/show experience is dedicated to this program.

  • What makes your program special?

    We believe our breeding program is set apart with our focus on science/genetics to breed the healthiest Chihuahuas possible.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, fawn, black sabled fawn, black sabled silver, blue, blue brindled fawn, blue fawn, chocolate brindled fawn, chocolate sabled fawn, fawn brindled black, blue and white, fawn and white, chocolate and tan, chocolate and white, blue and tan, cream and white, black and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $1 non-refundable deposit and between $3,699 - $5,799 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price and deposit vary depending on each pup's parents ( champion, sired, etc. ) or pedigree. They may also vary depending on the structure/conformation of the pup. Deposits are 40% of the price non-refundable.”

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Tanya & Cass were wonderful through the whole process. They are extremely knowledgeable about the breed, and their breeding practices geared towards the health of the breed are top notch. We had weekly meetings on Zoom and those were a fantastic way to watch tour Pancake grow. Pancake is a wonderful dog, and his early and regular exposure to various stimuli really set him up well for a long and healthy life. We couldn’t be happier.

    Tanya & Cass are incredible to work with and raise excellently tempered, kind, and truly genius puppies! Our experience has been 10/10 from beginning to bringing our new BFF, Toni home! As new puppy parents, my partner and I we're very intently planning & researching best practices. Cass & Tanya we're so incredibly patient, informative, & answered all of our questions. They've continued to correspond with us post-pick up -- they truly care about the development + success of their puppies. As you await the selection of your pup, I'd definitely recommend paying the deposit to join the FB group as Tanya + Cass do the best live streams every Saturday so you can see the latest litters & learn about socialization progress, etc. As for Toni! He arrived so calm, kind, & excited to learn new things. He's brave & confident. And we truly can't overstate how smart these puppies are - he learns at a rapid rate! He knew how to use his potty pads all by himself (only 1 accident the first day - insane!) and he knew his name when you call it. We could go on & on! Thank you Cass & Tanya!
