Q. & A. with Cristi Fogus
Why did you start breeding?
After Cristi lost her vision and it was determined she would not regain it, Cristi and Bruce began searching for a Portuguese Water Dog. On July 18, 2002, Cristi and Bruce brought a small, black wavy bundle of energy home. After a couple of different trials, his call name became Jack. He had two speeds: dead run and dead asleep. This was the beginning of a wonderful journey into PWDs.
What makes your program special?
Cristi and Bruce are members of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America (PWDCA). Cristi is also a member of Movers & Shakers PWD Club of the Carolinas, Kanawha Obedience Training Club and Magic Valley Kennel Club. We believe strongly in health testing, especially the tests recommended for the breed by the parent club.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
