Q. & A. with Lynn
Why did you start breeding?
I am a responsible preservationist Italian Greyhound breeder. I had no intention of breeding dogs when we got our first pet IG, but I quickly got a second one and gave dog showing a try where I've done very well. Becoming a breeder seemed natural because I grew up on a farm raising animals and I was lucky enough to have great dog mentors sharing all their knowledge and nurturing me.
What makes your program special?
In just 10 years with fifteen litters, we've produced multiple #1 top ranked, Top 20 ranked, Best In Show, Best In Specialty Show, top winning Italian Greyhounds here and around the world.
We are very honored when the best long time IG show breeders here and overseas want an Alura IG to improve their gene pool.
I especially like to bring newcomers into the breed and set them up for success.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include seal, white and blue, blue fawn, red, blue, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
