What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and liver, liver roan, liver and white, liver, black roan, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Julie
Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Julie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We take great care in placing our puppies with the perfect home for them and for you. We like to assess temperament between four and six weeks to ensure we get the right personality with the right family.”

“Our puppies come prepaid AKC registered and microchipped. All puppies will have a full vet exam and health clearance. First Shots, tails docked and dewclaws removed. Health and genetic guarantee. Puppies are selected in the order that deposits are received in the litter. Puppies are selected beginning at 4 weeks of age.”

About Venus
Venus is the daughter of our foundation male, Hero, and she embodies everything we admire in him: confidence, athleticism and heart. She is as gentle and tender as they come, yet when it's time to work, she knows how to turn it on in the field. Venus is currently working toward her AKC Junior Hunter title, where she is already halfway there, while also pursuing her AKC Conformation Champion Title. Her tall, athletic framed build allows her to move effortless with grace and ease. Just as impressive is her temperament, Venus truly never meets a stranger. She is a friend to all, and this pup absolutely has it all just like her Dad, Hero.

About Hero
Hero is our Foundation Sire at Alvarado Farm Kennels. Hero has the temper of a service dog and can be off leash in public with us. He can also turn it on in the field and is a proven hunter. He has earned his AKC Junior Hunter title and is currently working on AKC Senior Hunter. Hero participates annually in both AKC walking and horseback handled Field Trials. Hero does not meet a stranger and aims to please. He is athletic and muscular.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
