I'd like to preface my review by saying that I've been blessed to have had 4 Italian greyhounds and 1 rescued Whippet/Terrier gracing my life in amazing ways! When my beloved Latte passed in August of 2025, at the age of 15.50 years, I was newly retired as a health care provider and we were both enjoying the extra time together. In November, My Son was married, and so I hadn't had the time to fully grieve Latte's loss. But afterwards, I realized I wasn't ready to be without another IG. Thankfully, my Husband said ok. I share all of this only to make the point that going through the experience of seeking a breeder for the 5th time was no easier than the first, with the exception of having a platform like GOOD DOG and as a result finding the impeccably, conscientious, ethical, breeder Amanda from Amanda's Italian Greyhounds. You're right, my expectations were high. Shouldn't all breeders do a set of testing on their breeding pair(s)? In a perfect world, those tests would be uniform within a breed. Eventually, my list dwindled down to 2 breeders. Amanda made the list. Sometimes a breeder will only list the results of one dog? How does that help? Not with Amanda, it's all there on her site. After all the time searching I put in, I made the decision to contact Amanda via Good dog message board, after 10:00 PM, not expecting to hear back that evening at least. She responded back, almost immediately, and we talked till 12:30 AM! I was ecstatic that Briar Rose, now Prada, was still available. Amanda, and hubby love those babies, and EVERYTHING Amanda told me about Prada is 100% accurate! The first morning after her arrival, she was waiting, patiently, at the coffee maker, as if this was something she had experienced before. In fact, Amanda told me upon hearing this, that her husband would make coffee in the morning. She took to her x pen and snoozer, when we arrived home from the airport, without any issue. She has never cried/ barked at bedtime or when I have to go to the grocery. She is beloved by all. She has met/interacted with adults/elem.age/2 toddlers. Also, greets every dog she meets with a nose to nose . Doesn't matter to her if they are large or tiny. Of course We're supervising this, but no dog has yet had a problem with her or her with them! At 4 days she was engaged with sit/stay with rewards. after this we worked on sounds, nail clippers, dremel. Prada used potty pads consistently in the first month. She is outside pee trained but not totally consistent with poo at 6 months. Loves to use food puzzles. Her favorite activities are to cuddle, eat, and run. Prada embodies the best of all my past IG's. Thank you Amanda for everything! Hopefully I'll be able to post pics! Let's see!

Amanda was amazing to work with. She was great at answering questions about the pup and the process, responded quickly, and sent updates throughout. She also thought of everything for pickup and made sure I had food, a toy, and a blanket with the scent of her littermates. I brought home the most precious puppy; clearly loved, socialized, curious and brave. She is also doing amazing with potty training! I went into this process a little apprehensive about using Good Dog but overall it was an efficient way to find a new pup, inquire with breeders and make secured payments. I took a short flight to pick up my new puppy and Amanda’s preparation made that trip a breeze.

Amanda was amazing during the adoption process and waiting for our baby Nitrous to grow up for his pick up day. Amanda was always ready to answer the phone and texts too. We looked forward to the pics each week as Nitrous was growing. She face timed us to help my husband and myself to see our baby playing with his siblings during the growing process. Thank you Amanda. When it is time to have another baby down the road, we will definitely look to see if you have any babies at that time. We give you five stars out of five for sure!!! Thank you so much for everything!!! The Patterson family.

Amanda was Fantastic. Very communicative and sent us frequent updates with photo and Video of our new puppy. She checked in with us and asked the right questions about compatibility. I would absolutely deal with her again in the future

We had such a wonderful experience working with Amanda. From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive, patient, and happy to answer all of my questions, which made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. When we picked up our puppy, it was clear how much care and attention she puts into her dogs. She sent us home with everything we needed to help with a smooth transition, including the food our puppy had been eating, a few of her favorite toys, a blanket that smelled like her mom and littermates, her vet records from her first visit, microchip information, and even her AKC registration already paid for and transferred to us. Our puppy had already started potty training and was very well socialized, which made such a difference when bringing her home. She adjusted quickly to our environment and got along great with our other pets right away. You can truly tell Amanda cares deeply about her puppies and the families they go to. We are so grateful and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a happy, healthy, well-prepared puppy.
