Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

1981, I began to compete in herding trials & Obedience trials. I got my first Rat Terrier in 1985. We breed Rats for hunting, showing, competing & pets. We strive to preserve prey instinct, with a level temperament. 2013, we began competing with Rat Terriers. We devote time, energy, and efforts to each litter to ensure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born.
  • What makes your program special?

We run a small, in-home breeding program where my daughter and we prioritize giving our dogs the best care. We cherish each one and enjoy sharing the love of this wonderful breed with other individuals and families! We strive to place each one in an enriching and loving home that will match their temperament/ personality.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I enjoyed meeting Mary and Pickles' mom and aunt when we picked him up at our halfway point in Waco. We keep in touch almost daily and I let her know about Pickles' daily life here with me. He is such a wonderful dog, and I am grateful that Mary worked with him before I got him. He is well mannered and extremely smart. I love rat terriers and would recommend Mary's Angel Flight puppies for anyone who wants one of these wonderful dogs.
