Q. & A. with Robin
Why did you start breeding?
After we started showing our girl in 1994 our love of the breed and interest in preserving this ancient and somewhat rare breed became very important to us. The only way to do this is to breed quality examples of the breed to ensure the breeds future..
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are our family, and breeding wonderful family companions for ourselves as well as for the families that our puppies go to is our main objective. Although we enjoy showing our dogs, we live with them every day, so we strive to not only produce quality conformation dogs but also dogs with superior temperaments and personalities for us and other families to enjoy and live with. We, as Norwegian Elkhound Breeders, bred our first litter in 1998
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are silver gray and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
