I'm Amber P., the breeder behind Autumn Branch Farm Portuguese Water Dogs located in Murfreesboro, TN. We have four small children that hellp raise the puppies, so our pups go home with extensive socialization with kids! We also use the Puppy Culture program to give ENS, a good head start on manners and potty training. Our dogs are part of the family, raised in the home and not a kennel environment.
Q. & A. with Amber
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up I was introduced to breeding through my parents and our Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Once I fell in love with the PWD breed I knew I wanted to breed, but breeding takes great time and commitment. Between college, my mobile dog grooming business and raising my human babies, the wasn't right until 2022 when we were able to begin building our.current breeding program.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in our home with four small children, so we have the opportunity to provide family-ready puppies! These pups have been accustomed from birth to little hands squeezing and cuddling them and the loud noises and chaos of kids. The puppy culture program we use also provides hours and hours of early training, stimulation and socialization that helps shape smarter puppies!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, brown and white, black, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Kodiak
Kody is the most mellow Portuguese Water dog you will ever meet! We prize his temperament above all as PWDs in general are very high energy dogs and can be a bit much for most families. Kody loves to go for long walks and hikes, he enjoys playing tug and splashing in ponds and creeks. But he also loves to chill and cuddle on the couch. He brings balance to our program since most of our customers are looking for good family dogs that have the energy to go on adventures, but are also able to be calm and snuggly in the house without being a constant ball of energy. He has a low prey drive and mingles with our free ranging chickens and the family horses and goats without any trouble. He has excellent stocky conformation, a lovely coat and beautiful coloring. He is an wonderful family pet and has helped raise all four of our small children, letting them snuggle and crawl all over him even as babies. Kody really is the complete package!
Bailey is a beautiful brown and white wavy coated Portuguese Water Dog. She is an excellent fetcher and will retrieve her tennis ball all day long. She loves swimming in the pool with the family, and romping in any available water source on hikes and walks. She loves kids and has been a wonderful family pet for our four small children. She enjoys playing tug and fetch but also is happy to chill on the couch. Bedtime stories for the children at night have always been her favorite family time, and every night you can find her on the sofa snuggled up between the kids to be petted during stories. Bailey takes excellent care of her puppies and is a lovely mother.
