Q. & A. with Mike

  • Why did you start breeding?

We had purchased our Dam Raina, and had her trained. She got her junior hunter award, low Penn hip Score and OFA eyes good, and was excepted to breed with A male from Standing Stone kennels. We enjoyed having the litters and they proved to be healthy and smart, so we have continued with the breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise all our dogs in home. We start kennel training before they leave. If interested please call 785-221-9522. I talk to all potential puppy buyers before any payments are excepted!!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Mike and Margy at Autumn Prairie Kennel were incredible to work with while we were looking for our next GSP. Their response time to any questions that we had was prompt and the answers were always detailed. Mike and Margy were incredibly welcoming when we went to look at the remaining pups in the litter and you can tell that they have a love for the dogs they place. We are completely satisfied with Autumn Prairie Kennel and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a GSP!

Wow, where to start?! This went so much better than we could have ever imagined. It was a bold move to travel from Maine to Kansas City Airport to grab our girl Pepper but Margy & Mike made it a seamless experience. The love Autumn Prairie Kennels has for their GSP, quality of care, training, communication, and so much more was incredible. Margy & Mike genuinely care about the GSPs they breed and who they go home to. It was such a special experience getting our GSP Pepper from Autumn Prairie Kennels. Thank you so much Margy & Mike. We are so thankful for our perfect Pepper. She is such a stunner and already doing so well with listening, potty training, crate training, etc. She is perfect.

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
