I'm Dawn T., the breeder behind Avonlea Terriers located in Moyie Springs, ID. We have a lifetime of experience raising puppies in our home being loved by my children! We are serious about walking new owners through the puppy process and we’re devoted to spending as much time as necessary to be sure you’re getting the perfect addition to welcome as a beloved companion!

Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding dogs in my late teens and purchased my first Scottish Terrier in 1994 in Kalispell, Montana. During the 90’s my sister and I became Foutche Kennels , we raised Fila Brasilareos, which we imported from Brasil and shipped worldwide wide. I eventually faded out of the mastiffs to concentrate on my terriers. I have a lifetime of experience in training breeding and raising dogsWhat makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in a family farm environment, with exposure to many different farm animals and children of all ages!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Scottish Terrier puppies include black brindle, wheaten, silver brindle, brindle, and black. Irish Terrier puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Dawn
Dawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $2,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes registration application, age appropriate vaccination and deworming and basic socialization with farm animals and children. UPDATE !! I have 2 beautiful older Scottish Terrier female puppies that are needing their forever homes and are at my minimum price and below !!! Please ask about them!! Your deposit will hold a puppy of your choice. Puppies are chosen in the order that deposits are received . Deposits are non-refundable.”

Excellent experience overall with Dawn of Avonlea Terriers. Our longtime family friend had just gotten a pup from Dawn and we fell in love with him. He mentioned that there were probably some littermates available so we immediately looked into it. The initial contact, and the continued responsiveness was very accessible. Dawn was prompt in answering all of our questions as well as asking questions about our lifestyle to make sure we would match with such an active type pup. We did get all of her vet records and she had a final check up before we took her over. So we knew she was healthy and ready for her new home. So we ended up with a very well socialized 14week old that already had a wonderful grasp with being on lead and sleeping in a kennel at night as it was clear she had been routinely exposed to various environments living on farmland, with family, and other animals. So if you are looking for an Irish Terrier to enrich your life, you are in the right place!
