Meet the breeder

I'm Emma B., the breeder behind Ayakashi Silken Windhounds located in Plymouth, CT. Dogs have always been a passion. Between my job as a dog groomer and my love for sports, everything has been about the dogs. I exhibit my dogs in UKC and enjoy running sports (ASFA, LGRA etc..). I title and health test all of my dogs prior to breeding. I intend to raise puppies using Puppy Culture.

Q. & A. with Emma

  • Why did you start breeding?

I brought home my first silken in 2024. Solo’s Enter The Dragon “Haku”. He opened a lot of doors for me. In 2025 I brought home Solo’s Life On The Moon “Yokai” my hopeful foundation female. I have not had a breeding yet. My plans pending health testing would be to breed my girl 2027-2028. Haku and Yokai share the same sire and dam. They will not be bred together.
  • What makes your program special?

Ayakashi was born with the intention of producing dogs with stable temperament and the ability to excel in the show ring and in other sports. We are very small scale, prioritizing the well being of the dogs vs producing a large quantity of puppies. All breeding dogs will be titled, health tested to CHIC level which includes eyes, thyroid, echocardiogram genetic testing for CEA, MDR1. BAER as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and black, brindle, and black and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
