I'm Elizabeth B., the breeder behind Backwoods Kennels located in Spring Valley, WI. Our dogs are bred for their hunting ability. We are looking to breed healthy dogs in mind and body that can hunt all day and lay on the couch at night. We focus on producing pups that are easy to train, easy to live with, and easy on the eyes. We strive for 100% satisfaction and prepare our dogs to excel in all areas.
Q. & A. with Elizabeth
Why did you start breeding?
The breeder I got my first Wirehair from encouraged me to breed my new pup. I enjoyed seeing the puppies grow up and loved enriching people's lives with my exceptional dogs.
What makes your program special?
I feel there is always a niche for a well-bred, good-looking hunting dog that can also be a great companion. I live with my dogs, hunt with my dogs, and compete with my dogs. I am dedicated to preparing my puppies to thrive as their best selves, and I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
