I'm Trinity W., the breeder behind Battis PWD located in Cave Creek, AZ. We offer amazing quality PWDs with a focus on health, disposition, bloodline, and pedigree. We truly love this amazing breed! Because we want each placement to be lifelong and each pup to thrive in their role, we try to find the perfect match for our puppies and buyers. It is our goal to find loving homes for our puppies and provide families and individuals with the Portuguese Water Dog of their dreams. Seeing each of our puppies' families experience the same level of joy that our dogs bring us is so amazing!

Why did you start breeding?
My first Portuguese Water Dog was introduced to my life as a solution to my childhood allergies. River was an amazing dog, and the breed's intelligence, sensitivity, and human-like interaction amazed my family and me. As time progressed, so did our love for this incredible breed, so we decided to start our own responsible program. The rest is history!What makes your program special?
We are not a kennel, but a family. Because our program is small, we are able to give each dog and puppy all of the attention and care that they need to develop and thrive. Our dogs are our family, and we give that same love to each puppy as we prepare them to join their forever homes. The quality of our puppies reflects the conscious decisions we make throughout every part of the breeding process. We are happy to tell you more about what life with a PWD is like and how they will not only enhance your daily life, but exceed your expectations!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white and brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Nani
Nani is a female Portuguese Water Dog. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Trinity decided to make her part of their program. Trinity has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
PennGen
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
