I'm Denise C., the breeder behind Battle Born Terriers located in Dayton, NV. Battle Born Terriers currently has 4 Rat Terriers as our foundation program. Our goal is to bred healthy and happy Rat Terriers! Whether you are looking for a show dog, a pet or a dog to run in sports such as Barn Hunt or FastCat, Battle Born Terriers has what you are looking for!

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

"Each litter is AKC registered, tails and declaws were removed at 3 days, puppies are wormed and have one set of puppy shots before going home. Puppies are microchipped. $850.00 due when their puppy is picked out of the litter. This is a non-refundable reservation fee. If needed, the fee can be rolled over to a future litter."
Denise may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Raven
Raven is a small standard standing about 14" at the shoulder and weighs approximately 14 pounds. She is a black tri-colored tuxedo. Raven is an AKC Grand Champion Bronze and has earned her Bronze level for NOHS.

Gypsy is a beautiful blue tricolored Irish-Marked small standard. Gypsy is an AKC Grand Champion! She is very sweet and her and pain produce beautiful puppies!

Phin is a Red Sable Piebald, standing about 16.5" high and weighs between 20-24 pounds at any given time. He is very athletic and is definitely the Crites' Rat Pack leader of 6! He is very sweet and loves everyone! Phin is an AKC Grand Champion Silver and just received his NOHS Silver level! Phin has received an invite to attend Westminster 2026!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Full Embark Panel, Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
