I'm Kristen M., the breeder behind Black Watch Griffons located in Illinois. We are hard at work breeding the ultimate gun dog for your home. We go above the working standard by testing each dog at the advanced level. We know we are giving you a versatile companion by doing it this way. We breed with the goal to preserve the breed, and the Korthals Griffon in mind.
Q. & A. with Kristen
Why did you start breeding?
We knew we could improve the breed by producing what we had from the start. We wanted others to enjoy what phenomenal hunting dogs we had. Watching the bond between the owner and dog is rewarding.
What makes your program special?
We only breed dogs who have been proven in the field and have all the AWPGA recommended health tests. If you get a puppy from us, we treat you as family. We provide the owners with the necessary resources and tools to train throughout the life of the dog.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
