Meet the breeder

I'm Kristina O., the breeder behind Blue Marina Portuguese Water Dogs located in Baldwin, WI. We strive to keep alive the working spirit of this special breed. Portuguese Water Dogs are a passion for us and we only breed to improve upon our lines and strive to help improve the breed in general.

Q. & A. with Kristina

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2017, I became co-owner along with my MIL of a beautiful PWD from Mariposa PWD's. This gorgeous girl is now a Grand Champion and working on her water titles. We had our first litter in 2020. We do not breed every year, we only breed to improve our lines.
  • What makes your program special?

Please visit website, we have a Valentine's 2025 litter with puppies available. My goal is always to breed healthy dogs, sound temperaments, structurally sound, working drive and great family members. We use Puppy Culture program to help put them on the right track for success with their new families. We do required health tests per PWDCA, all health info can be found on AKC/OFA/PWDCA database.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
