BonBon Chihuahuas

Christy L.

Breeder of Chihuahuas

Meet the breeder

I'm Christy L., the breeder behind BonBon Chihuahuas located in Santa Fe, TX. I require an interview before approval. With a small breeding program, only a few litters a year are born here, so we have plenty of time to work with and socialize all the puppies. We look forward to matching you with your perfect pup!

Q. & A. with Christy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew breeding rabbits, goats, and horses. It was natural that when I fell in love with chihuahuas as a breed that we gather the best bloodlines and have a few litters every year.
  • What makes your program special?

Socialization combined with an emphasis on healthy dogs with that perfect breed standard look of a chihuahua. Socialization at a young age is what makes our dogs so UNLIKE the yippy aggressive chihuahuas that most people have met and dislike. Ours are sweet, outgoing, friendly and playful.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
