I'm Bridget T., the breeder behind Bridget Taylor- MiOwn Hounds and Staffordshire Bull Terriers located in Morven, NC. We breed quality American Black and Tan Coonhounds and Staffordshire Bull Terriers for companion, show and sport. We stand alongside our dogs, living with them not off of them. We focus on ethically breeding exceptional dogs that make great family companions. We take pride in our work! Doing all health testing and breeding to improve our dogs with every breeding. We are AKC and UKC affiliated.

Why did you start breeding?
As I started into the show world you get to see the pride of a owner/handlers. I saw the pride of breeders as their lines win. Looking to see what I wanted in a dog that carried my Kennel name MiOwn. Not only the dog at the end of my lead but, the puppies and dogs that would one day become family members to loving homes. Looking to improve. Having fun & being active with my dogs in many sports.
What makes your program special?
I have never been one to breed very often. I just don't breed for puppies, I bred for my next family, show potential. A well balanced,healthy,mentally and structured pup is so important to me. But, not all puppies are show puppies but, all puppies are loving family members. I guarantee any puppy that comes from us will always have a home with us at any age.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Juvenile Cataracts
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
