I'm JoEllen B., the breeder behind Bright Lake Terriers located in Milaca, MN. These are Rat Terrier Type B, now known as Teddy Roosevelt Terriers. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, well-rounded puppies we raise! We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes.

As well as trait testing, Embark tests dogs for 200+ genetic diseases. Bluey is also free of CDDY and she is clear of PLL and DM through parentage (this means that she does not carry them). Bluey has a great personality. She is smart and very in tune with us. She loves playing with kids and other dogs.

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Disease Panel, Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
