Brimstone Irish Wolfhounds

Laurie M.

Breeder of Irish Wolfhounds

Meet the breeder

I'm Laurie M., the breeder behind Brimstone Irish Wolfhounds located in St Paul, MN. I've been a guardian of Wolfhounds for 38 years. I've been selectively breeding quality hounds for 30 years. I love breeding beautiful, capable dogs that are just as good at cuddling with you on the couch. I strive for a healthy, and well-rounded companion.

Q. & A. with Laurie

  • Why did you start breeding?

With my first well bred hound I began to show and traveled with mentors to IW Specialty shows around the USA. He finished his championship and I was introduced to Sorcha Wilde of Witchesbroom from the UK. She trusted me with a lovely pair of litter sisters that became my foundation stock.
  • What makes your program special?

I have lived with them for 30+ years & have gained so much experience with the breed. I know what traits to strive for and always strive for excellence. Irish Wolfhounds are a unique and special breed. Every hound and every family that lives with them should expect them to be healthy and beautiful. I research every mating, and I breed only when I want to keep one or more of the puppies for myself. If there are other puppies, they are carefully placed in homes I select that match each puppy.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
