I'm Ben W., the breeder behind Calico Kennels located in Greenville, NC. Located, in Greenville, NC, we breed German Shorthaired Pointers with desirable dispositions on and off the field. Our dogs are bred to complete hunt tests and perform in field trials and other competitions. We want dogs with bird drive, who are trainable and want to work for their handlers. We also want great companions in the home and on adventures with their owners.

What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver roan, liver and white, and white and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Ben has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes tails docked, dew claws removed, AKC registration, the first round of vaccinations, initial vet check, deworming, and puppy socialization. All puppies are the same price regardless of color, size, and sex.”

Ben may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. About Jax
Male Liver Roan, Patched and Ticked In three generations, Jax has a bloodline with 110 NSTRA Championships, approximately 12 National championships, and 3 Hall of Fame dogs. His dam is Dead Birds "Atti"tude and his sire is TC's Get Lucky Lou. First time ever on the field in a NSTRA trial this year and he scored 2nd place! With an extraordinary bird drive, Jax has a great nose, is very stylish in the field, and has a strong desire to please. Jax has a “no quit” personality in the field and can turn it off when it's time. He has been a pleasure to train and is a great companion on and off the field.

About Ellie
Ellie is a NSTRA Amateur Champion and last year's Amateur Regional Champion as well as a NSTRA Open Champion. Her dam is also a NSTRA Champion, and her sire is a 7-time NSTRA Champion. She has multiple Champions in the 3 prior generations. She is a well-rounded dog that can excel in field trial competitions as well as methodically work natural cover in search of wild birds. She has natural instincts with an excellent temperament.

Ben and Wendy are perfect. From start to finish our transition with our new puppy Mr.Pibb was awesome. They updated us on everything he was doing, how he was progressing and pictures. Even after we picked him up, they told us to text anytime we had questions. They sent us home with a goodie bag and transition food. They are absolutely amazing, honest and trustworthy.
