I'm Candace L., the breeder behind Candace Morris located in Grand Rapids, MI. I am primarily an AKC show home. All my dogs live in my home, on my couch as they should. They are tested for genetic diseases by UC Davis and my local vet. All my health test results are available to the public on the OFA site by searching for the Sire and Dam.
You can find multi generation pedigrees at italangreyhoundbreedarchive dot com.
Q. & A. with Candace
Why did you start breeding?
The purpose of showing dogs is breeding stock evaluation, and ultimately improving the breed health while keeping to the breed standard.
What makes your program special?
I have been very fortunate to have reputable kennels trust me with their bloodlines. I started off with an amazing little girl named "Jewel" We have had a blast showing together through her AKC Bronze Grand Champion Title. She is also a Canine Good Citizen and has started on her Trick titles. She has become the foundation for the Majime kennel name.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
