Why did you start breeding?
After having a great amount of success with my first dog Rusty, I wanted another one from that bloodline. That lead me to breeder Jim Busch, from Illinois, and the rest is history. Got to know Jim and he became a mentor to me. I handled his dogs in a few hunt tests as well as training activities. That lead me to breeding my first dog Briar.What makes your program special?
What makes us special is we truly love the breed and want to continue to produce calm, well rounded dogs, like my mentor Jim Busch did. Not only can they hunt and show, but more importantly they are a big part of the family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

About Ember
Ember is a very gentle female with a loving temperament. She loves her people and loves to play with our other dogs and animals. She is an excellent hunting dog but is just as happy laying on the floor with her family. She has OFA excellent hips rating and her color is dark like that of many of the great dogs in her bloodline.

Coecoe is a loving dog, that wants to be with her people. She loves to play with the other dogs and is great with other pets and people. She loves to swim and in the summer can be found in our pond on a regular basis.

Gator is an outstanding dog on every level. He has a very calm temperament and is great around all people and other pets. He is an outstanding pheasant dog and well above average at retrieving. We purchased him from Jim and Linda Busch and knew coming from them he would be special. He has not disappointed in that he's an outstanding family dog with great looks and well above average in the field.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
