Meet the breeder

I'm Jeff M., the breeder behind Cedars Point Kennel located in Summerset, SD. Q. & A. with Jeff

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased a Kleine Munsterlander that changed our lives. As a late onset upland hunter in South Dakota trying to keep the overweight pooch off we hunted Cedar regularly our first year. This led to getting him approved for breeding. Shortly thereafter we purchased our first three female breed stock. We are just reaching the stage of retiring our first breeding females presently.
  • What makes your program special?

Cedars Point Kennel has both a stud and females the exceed the SMCA standards for breeding. Beyond that we show our dogs to better understand how to improve upon what we have started with. Five of our first seven litters have received or qualified for North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association Natural Ability Awards. We also rear our pups using Puppy Culture Protocols.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
