I'm Elaine & Paris D., the breeder behind Chalet Dalmatians located in Economy, PA. We are breeders of LUA Dalmatians. We try to produce the happiest and healthiest companions that we can and we show our dogs in both conformation and performance events. All of our breeding dogs are fully health tested and titled with the American Kennel Club and are proven as good breeding stock through their achievements. We are both members or our local regional club, the Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatians Club and the parent club, The Dalmatian Club of America. Elaine is the recording secretary for the GPDC and Paris has served on in the past and is currently on the Board of Directors. We live about 25 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, PA just outside of Cranberry Township.
Q. & A. with Elaine & Paris
Why did you start breeding?
We originally bought a pet who became a wonderful conformation and performance dog. A few years later, we raised our first litter with the help of our mentors who have been breeding for decades.
What makes your program special?
We are breeding for the LUA gene while keeping proper structure and temperament for the Dalmatian breed. Our puppies are raising in our kitchen following enriched protocol. We are breeding for the whole package!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
