Meet the breeder

I'm Irene D., the breeder behind Chitownchihuahuas located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I truly love what I do, and each puppy is raised with care, attention, and affection. Watching them grow, develop their personalities, and become cherished companions in loving homes is an honor and one of the most satisfying parts of this journey. It is truly a labor of love.

Q. & A. with Irene

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2019, I decided to turn my lifelong passion for animals into a commitment to responsible Chihuahua breeding. I wanted to dedicate myself to preserving the qualities I admire in the breed, including temperament, structure, and overall health. Breeding is a responsibility I approach with care, honesty, and a desire to raise wonderful companions for families.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is built on traditional values: honesty, transparency, and respect for the Chihuahua breed. We believe responsible breeding requires dedication, careful decisions, and families who value quality, health, and ethical practices. Our goal is to work with people who share our commitment to preserving and improving the breed for future generations.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Irene

Irene has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Irene partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We believe the best matches come from transparency, communication, and taking the time to understand each other. We respond courteously to inquiries through social media and other contact methods. Our next step is to invite serious potential families to visit our website, learn about our program, and complete our short questionnaire (approximately 5 minutes). After reviewing the questionnaire, we will follow up by email and, when appropriate, arrange a convenient video call (such as WhatsApp). We see this less as an interview and more as a chance for both sides to get to know each other, ask questions, and decide if we are the right fit. If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we can discuss the next steps. We want potential families to see our Chihuahua family, including our adults, parents, and puppies, live and in real time. This allows you to experience their personalities and environment beyond photos. We believe in full transparency: our photos are not digitally altered, filtered, or AI-generated. We are always happy to answer questions and provide guidance to Chihuahua families, even if they ultimately choose another breeder. Our goal is to help every Chihuahua find a loving, responsible, and well-prepared home.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $2,950 non-refundable deposit and $2,950 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our pricing reflects the investment behind each puppy: careful breeding decisions, time, care, health considerations, socialization, temperament development, and raising a well-prepared companion. Deposit is required to reserve a puppy. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, as they secure the puppy and permanently remove it from availability to other buyers.”

Contract & health guarantee

Irene may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Irene offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Irene directly.

All contracts are handled securely through Good Dog.
