Michelle W.

Breeder of German Shorthaired Pointers

Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle W., the breeder behind Chrishelle Farm located in North Branch, MN. We breed to improve on our dogs and to meet the breed standard. We breed versatile GSP's for structure, temperament, health, natural bird skills, train-ability, performance, and family companions. Our goal is to produce dogs with athletic ability to be able to compete in a wide variety of sports.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband owned our first Shorthair. I showed her, trained her and he hunted her. When I was finally ready to own my own dog, we decided she had proven herself enough in the ring and field and was of a great temperament, health, and pedigree that we wanted a puppy out of her. We worked with our mentors to select a suitable stud dog and we had great success with our first litter.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on versatility. Our dogs are proven in the conformation ring, hunt field, obedience, rally ring, are fully health tested, and are excellent family companion dogs. We raise our puppies with Puppy Culture techniques and AviDog protocols for well-rounded puppies. We are selective in our puppy homes and try to ensure that each puppy is well suited for its home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
