Collina Baia

Susan D.

Breeder of Spinoni Italiani

Meet the breeder

I'm Susan D., the breeder behind Collina Baia located in Arcata, CA. Collina Baia is founded upon love and respect for all things dog. We are dedicated to placing the perfect pups into loving homes. I adore the Spinone Italiano breed. Health and temperament are my top priorities. I socialize my puppies from day one. It is not as easy to do during the pandemic, but I still do my best to introduce them to people of all ages! I also introduce puppies to loud sounds, grooming desensitization, and loving them up! It would be an honor to introduce your family to your next Spinone Italiano!

Q. & A. with Susan

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have experience helping breeder friends whelp their litters. My first female was imported from Italy! She is a beautiful specimen of the breed. I have only bred two of my own litters. I understand the very important role that breeders undertake; that today’s breeders are the guardians of the future Spinone Italianos.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is unique because of the time and love I devote to my dogs and puppies. I do all I can to set them up to have a happy and healthy life. My breeding dogs are all health tested to ensure healthy puppies. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, cuteness is guaranteed, and lots of love is always included.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
