I'm Virginia L., the breeder behind Coolballow Chihuahuas located in Niagara County, NY. We are a small show breeder located in Western NY. We have both long coat and smooth coat Chihuahuas, with a multitude of colors. Our main focus is healthy, happy, and correct puppies who are spoiled rotten!

Why did you start breeding?
My Grandfather raised Malinois, GSD, and Standard Poodles throughout his life. I grew up reading his many books on those breeds and on purebred dogs in general. After doing Chihuahua rescue work for a few years as a teen, I was asked to help a friend handle Chihuahuas. I was hooked for life and the rest is history!What makes your program special?
Myself, my son, and our vet work together to study pedigrees and are constantly pursuing education to become better breeders. We exhibit our dogs on a local and national level. I bring an artist’s vision, while my son works for a pro handler and brings insight from that. Our trusted vet helps to screen for any health defects in our dogs. They are not just strong in health but temperament and type as well.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“This price includes the guarantee, AKC Registration, puppy exams, initial sets of vaccinations, socialisation & training, and 4 weeks of training consultation. Deposit is due once a decision is made to bring a puppy home and the remaining balance is due by 12 weeks of age.”

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
