  • Why did you start breeding?

    In 2000 I began teaching rally and giving seminars on rally obedience. I incorporated rally signs into all of my classes, from puppy to competition, immediately. My love for competing with my dogs encouraged a love of breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

    My Windsprites compete in different venues and shows and are always meet the breed standard. I breed infrequently, and first and foremost my dogs are my family members.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kimberly

Kimberly has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes: IWC registration, one year free membership, DNA parentage testing, lifetime registered micro chip, chiropractic adjustment, first vaccines, a copy of dam’s nomogragh to give your vet to aid with proper timing of future vaccinations, a 3 generation pedigree, and a ‘puppy go home’ bag including food, a dam scented cloth, paperwork and other written materials on various topics of bringing a new puppy home. Lifetime access to, and support from, me with any questions as needed. $500 reservation deposit. It is refundable if no suitable puppy is available for the family.”

Crystal Spirit Windsprites reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Windsprites.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
