I'm Lynn K., the breeder behind Cu Liath Deerhounds & Whippets located in Argyle, NY. Our hounds excel in various performance venues and - most importantly - in their forever homes as beloved family members. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her home.
Q. & A. with Lynn
Why did you start breeding?
We were mentored and encouraged by longtime breeders, who helped us to evaluate our dogs and to select appropriate stud dogs for them. We regularly participate in lure coursing and conformation shows and started breeding to continue and improve upon our prized lines. We are passionate about these dogs and have built that love and respect for the breeds into every aspect of our program.
What makes your program special?
Cu Liath is committed to breeding dogs who match the written standard and also excel in temperament & health. At least one parent of each litter we breed has also competed successfully in lure coursing; many of our puppies also compete in that venue. We are proud of their accomplishments but also love to hear about their day-to-day adventures.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
