Meet the breeder

I'm Dennis & Deanna D., the breeder behind Daehler's Wirehaired Pointing Griffons located in Afton, WI. Daehlers Wirehaired Pointing Griffons is located in Southern Wisconsin. We have been involved with showing, hunting and breeding dogs for 30+ years. Our beautiful home is surrounded by woods, creeks, rolling hills, fields and lots of wildlife providing a perfect area for training the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Our dogs are not kennel dogs, they live in our home and hunt as often as they can. Here at Daehlers Wirehaired Pointing Griffons we breed to imporove the breed and provide sound, healthy and happy puppies to qualified families. Our puppies are born and raised in the center of our home to maximize their socialization. They are socialized with regular family activities, other dogs, cats & kids. Puppies are handled on a daily basis. We start our puppies on early conditioning for hunting. Griff training is tied to the deep human bond they establish with their owners. A bonded Griff will do whatever it can to please his owner. All puppies will have tails docked, dewclaws removed, be up to date on vaccines, dewormed, vet checked at least twice, AKC registered and come with a written health guarantee. We stand behind every puppy we produce and you will have a lifetime of breeder support.

  • Rachael L.

    Verified owner · Aug. 2025

Dennis and Deanna were wonderful to work with. They took the time to answer our questions and shared their knowledge of WPG's with us as we began inquiring about the breed. Their application was thorough to ensure a great WPG match for both hunting and family needs. Taking care of 3 litters at once did not hinder their responsiveness in communication. They have been very helpful as we navigate puppyhood and are always available to answer any questions that pop up.
