Meet the breeder

I'm Lindsey F., the breeder behind Danca PWDs located in Lincoln, NE. I am a preservation breeder striving for quality, health, and to ensure the future of the PWDs for generations to come. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family that will match their temperament and personality!

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Microphthalmia Syndrome (PES), Wisdom Panel, Early Onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy (EOPRA), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Juvenile Dilated Cardiomyopathy, GM1 Gangliosidosis, Portuguese Water Dog Type

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
