I'm Julie W., the breeder behind Deep Creek Welsh Farm located in Timberlake, NC. Our dogs are bred with type and temperament in mind, ensuring they embody the breed's versatility and bring joy to their families for many years. Raised on our Welsh pony farm, our puppies benefit from the Puppy Culture method utilizing ENS and early training and socialization. The exposure to a variety of new experiences and thorough socialization prepares them for exciting adventures with their new families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I've always been passionate about Parson Russell Terriers. They are big dogs in a little package, full of adventure and love. Breeding a few litters each year allows me to share that joy with others.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are well-acquainted with various dogs and ponies, having been raised in our home. They receive early socialization and exposure to a wide range of experiences, making their transition to new homes smooth and stress-free. Additionally, all puppies are crate trained and have started house training before they leave our farm.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Julie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“Around 8 weeks, once personalities start to really come through, we begin matching puppies with their families. We put a lot of thought into each placement to ensure the best fit for both the puppy and the new family.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The puppies are sent to their new homes registered with the AKC and microchipped through AKC Reunite. They receive all necessary vaccinations and deworming treatments appropriate for their age. Pet puppies are limited registration. Deposit and is non-refundable under any circumstances except where the dog meets with harm or death prior to Owner taking possession. If this occurs, any monies paid will be refunded including the deposit.”

Contract & health guarantee

Julie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     We had a great experience getting to know our puppy before she ever came to live with us. Julie sent update, photos and videos regularly so we could prepare and already start bonding. When “gotcha” day arrived, we were able to see where our puppy (Piper) spent her first weeks and meet her parents. We even have photos of what looks exactly like mom and dad saying goodbye to their little girl! Julie sent us home with a puppy care package full of essentials to help ease Piper’s transition to her forever home. Piper is becoming a very important part of our family, and we are so grateful for Julie helping to make that happen.
