I'm Joan L., the breeder behind Diamond D Dalmatians located in Oswego, IL. We strive for 100% satisfaction and prepare our dogs to excel in all areas of life. Many of our Dalmatians have gone on to earn their championships and obedience and performance titles. We're proud of our pups. Why did you start breeding?
We began our breeding program as a result of showing in conformation. We wanted to put our passion to good use and do our part to better the breed.
What makes your program special?
We are breeding the highest-quality Dalmations. We have owned or bred five of the maternal ancestors of one of the breed's top winning Dalmatians (Ch. Fireman's Freckled Friend). He also became one of the breed's top producing dogs. We are so proud of our dogs and pups.

About Cammie
Cammie is a female Dalmatian. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Joan decided to make her part of their program. Joan has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis, Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
