About Lady
Our Dam Lady is great with children and all other dogs. She is a very gentle and loving dog around the house and is happy to relax on the couch all day if that is what you choose to do. The moment you put on your boots for a hike or reach for your shotgun, she is ready to go! Lady loves to hunt. Griffs make for great versatile gundogs and tracking dogs. Lady holds a prize 1 on her NAVHDA natural ability test with a perfect score of 112.
The Sire Goose is quite the athlete! He shows strong natural ability and is very willing to please. Goose is also great with kids and other dogs, he is a true family man.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
DOGS COUNTRY GRIFFS reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Wirehaired Pointing Griffons.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
