I'm Daniel & Jessica R., the breeder behind Dolce Bosco Lagotto located in Taft, TN. We thoughtfully breed Lagotto Romagnolo with a focus on health, temperament, and staying true to the breed’s heritage. Our goal is to preserve the Lagotto’s natural qualities, intelligence, affectionate nature, while raising well-socialized puppies who are wonderful family companions.

Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding after we realized how much our dog helped with PTSD. We began studying the genetics, temperaments, conformation, and overall health. We want to improve the breed and focus on health. Jessica graduated Starmark academy for dog Trainers in 2020. It has been an absolute joy, and we are so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.What makes your program special?
At Dolce Bosco Lagotto, our breeding program is dedicated to preserving the Lagotto Romagnolo’s true heritage while producing healthy, confident, and exceptional companions. We carefully select our dogs for sound health, outstanding temperament, intelligence, natural working ability, and the breed’s renowned nose. Puppies are raised in our home with love, daily enrichment, and Puppy Culture practices that support early socialization, confidence, and emotional development. By combining thoughtful pairings, comprehensive health testing, and a nurturing home environment, we strive to raise well-rounded Lagotti who embody the beauty, character, and working qualities that make this breed so special.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown, orange, orange roan, off-white, white, and brown roan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Daniel & Jessica
Daniel & Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Daniel & Jessica partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Price
“This covers AKC registration, microchip, first vaccinations, DNA testing, eye exam, vet check, early socialization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent introduction, and a going-home package. The deposit is non-refundable unless we are not able to provide a puppy from the selected litter. At this point, the deposit can either be refunded or saved for a future litter.”

About Bubbles
Bubbles is a female Lagotto Romagnolo 5 months old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Daniel & Jessica decided to make her part of their program. Daniel & Jessica has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Lagotto Storage Disease (LSD), Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
