About Viper
Viper is a fun loving dog, and that picture above isn’t really her so please see the pictures below as I couldn’t get AI to put in the exact image I wanted although it’s close with a shorter tail. She’s our most consistent dog when running national trials where invite is required based on achieving different types of thresholds to get invited. Viper almost always finishes in the top 32 of 128-192 dog formats in National Shoot to Retrieve (NSTRA). She’s a NSTRA Champion as well. Viper will hunt the entire day on Chukar or Quail, and while you're done hunting and back at truck loading up and watering the dogs she sneaks back off to go hunt even if she’s already put on 25 miles during the walk. Viper was the 2nd fastest dog I’ve ever owned to pick up wild bird hunting. It doesn’t matter the train or the type of bird she's absolutely wild about hunting and field trialing, but she definitely enjoys wild bird hunting more. She's easy to handle when hunting even though if you let her she would range easily beyond 10 miles out. Oftentimes I will work from my truck and let the dogs go and will work until they go on point and my Garmin notifies me. I then go track them down and she will cover an incredible amount of ground. When at home, Viper is calm. Like all my dogs, they know how to turn it all off when at home. All my dogs are house dogs, along with my clients dogs.

About Athena
Athena is a dog who has excelled at all levels of (NSTRA) and not just because of how great a dog she is from her handler as often seen. But for those of you used to running field trials, you know it’s very uncommon for kids to win until they're adults. However my son Jordan Prowse had been running Athena since he was 13 and not just during regular weekend events but also during Annual Region Championships and National Events for which he has always placed in the top 32 of 128 dogs. Handled by Jordan, Athena won High Point in (2021, 2022, 2023), along with (2023 Regional 4th place, 2024 Regional 1st place) and she wrapped up 2025 running with me when Jordan wasn’t able to run that weekend. If Athena’s brother I run named Turbo wasn’t in the sport, Athena would have won every High Point since 2021 since when she didn’t win she took 2nd behind Turbo, and probably more region championships if Turbo wasn’t around. This bloodline has proven to be incredibly successful throughout field trials. Oftentimes a dog is exceptional at Hunting OR Field Trialing, but the 2 don’t always go hand and hand. Athena has been my go to dog when I bring new pups out to learn to hunt. Athena loves lakes and water traps. The majority of Athena’s Puppies have also shown the same ease in training as Athena, while also sharing the willingness to handle for anyone regardless of her knowing them or not. The area that takes the most time to train is Force Breaking “Learned Retrieve”. After finishing the breaking they are exceptional trial ready dogs. Peso’s lines are inclined to naturally retrieve without requiring the added force breaking. I want to point out Athena’s lines being an added risk here which might result in some of the puppies going through force breaking being needed to receive a field trial caliber retrieve. At home Athena has a good off switch and likes to hang out on the couch with family, while trialing and hunting shes all in pedal to the medal while being easy to handle which isn’t a common trait in big running dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
