Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle Q., the breeder behind Dragonz Lair located in New Castle, DE. We breed and show our dogs out of a love for and dedication to the protection and betterment of the breed. Our dogs are AKC, UKC and International champions with herding titles. Our dogs are members of our family and show in conformation and performance. We love to watch our puppies grow and shine!

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I met my first briard over 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with them. They are loyal, affectionate, motivated and yet can be very relaxed and easy going. When I got my first briard, the passion of these dogs won my heart. I knew that this is the breed for me. Then along came the Schapendoes and they are an excellent companion for the briard.
  • What makes your program special?

I make sure that all of the breeding dogs have all appropriate health clearances completed. I breed for structure, movement and temperament. Bringing these beautiful puppies into the world only happens on limited occasions, so they are all very special and loved completely.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are tawny. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
