I'm Sophie S., the breeder behind Dry Branch located in Milton, FL. I fell in love with the breed for its keen hunting instincts, cooperative nature, and strong desire to please. Each of my dogs is carefully selected for sound structure, natural ability, and steady disposition. I strive to produce Griffons that are a pleasure to be around.

Wirehaired Pointing Griffon
About Buster
Buster is the most accomplished Wirehaired Pointing Griffon in U.S. history, setting records that remain unmatched in the breed. Bred by Elaine Hunsicker and co-owned by Hunsicker and Joan Coughlin, Buster was expertly handled throughout his career by Michelle Scott. The two formed an unforgettable team and their connection in the ring was undeniable. His show record is nothing short of extraordinary, highlighted by his remarkable comeback from the Veterans class in 2014 to win the AWPGA National Specialty and capture his fourth AKC Best in Show (BIS) title that same year. Buster holds the unique distinction of being the only Wirehaired Pointing Griffon ever to place in the Sporting Group at Westminster, taking third in 2011. Over the course of his career, he amassed a total of four AWPGA Best in Specialty Show (BISS) wins (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014) and an impressive fourteen AKC Best in Show victories, claimed on the following dates: 2009: September 20, October 10 2010: January 24, March 6, March 11, May 14, May 16, May 23, May 31, August 29, October 17, November 28, December 18 2014: August 29 His outstanding performance earned him the title of AWPGA Show Dog of the Year in 2010, and he was inducted into the AWPGA Show Dog Hall of Fame that same year.
