Vicki G.

Breeder of Bracco Italianos

Meet the breeder

I'm Vicki G., the breeder behind Eastern Breeze located in Williamsburg, VA. We are a small home-based kennel, devoted to the beautiful rare Bracco Italiano. Our dogs are first and foremost, beloved members of our family. They live in our home, share our daily lives with care, attention, and love.

Q. & A. with Vicki

  • Why did you start breeding?

For our love of the breed, we chose to begin breeding carefully paired bloodlines to continue and enhance the line. We truly respect this breed and aim to preserve the ancestory of this newly (2024) AKC recognized breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We chose to breed our Bracco Italiano dogs in pairs to continue the Deisanchi, Cascina Croce, and Polca Vera bloodlines. Our stud (6 y.o.) comes from direct relatives of AKC and NAVDHA champions. One of our females (3 y.o.) is imported from Italy. The other female (3 y.o.) is related to AKC champions. All are OFA certified.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white and orange. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
